Try this brand new Candytuft for a parade of pastel pink flowers from late spring to midsummer. This hardy perennial carries its pretty blooms in eye-catching, flattened panicles which are followed by attractive seed heads. Iberis ‘Pink Ice’ has a low growing, spreading habit that is well suited to rockeries and path edges, as well as borders and patio containers. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 40cm (16"). Supplied in 7cm pots.

Culinary information: Both the leaves and flowers of candytuft can be eaten raw and have a taste similar to that of a sweet broccoli. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Pot up candytuft plants into pots of free-draining compost, and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. When all risk of frost has passed and plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Grow Iberis outdoors in any moist, well drained, non-acidic soil in full sun.

Water regularly until candytuft plants are fully established. After flowering, cut back the plants and remove faded candytuft flowers if seedheads are not required to maintain a neat, compact habit.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
