Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
Acanthus mollis is a robust and fully hardy garden perennial. This popular species features large, jagged green foliage and produces magnificent, tall racemes of white flowers with mauve bracts from May to August. A fantastic addition to a large perennial border, Acanthus mollis is also happy in areas of dappled shade. Height and spread: 1.5m (5’). Supplied as large plug plants or in 9cm pots.

Grow Acanthus in any fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Acanthus plants are drought tolerant once established and will even cope well in an exposed position.
Bears Breeches requires little maintenance throughout the season except for removing the faded flower stems at the base of the plant.
