Alliums provide amazing early summer flowers to bridge the gap between spring and summer bedding. They come in all shapes and sizes, and Allium 'Hair' is a particularly curious type with purple-hearted flowers sporting outrageous green ‘hair’! Alliums thrive in mixed borders, or can be planted into patio containers to provide a focal point. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 10cm (4"). Supplied as bulbs.

Allium bulbs should be planted in autumn, with the pointed end facing upwards, at a depth of approximately 3 times their height. Choose a sunny position in free draining soil.

Alliums thrive in dry sunny conditions so feeding and watering should not be necessary except on the driest of soils. Alliums will not repeat flower in the same year. Their faded spherical flower heads can be removed after flowering if necessary; however they will make a wonderful architectural display in the autumn if left intact.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
