Woodland flower bulbs are happy growing in partial or dappled shade – often emerging in the spring before the leaves have appeared on the trees. Ideal for naturalising in woodland gardens, rockeries and informal areas of grass, many of these woodland flowers are native to the UK. All of our woodland bulbs represent excellent value for money and will naturally multiply over the years. For help planting bulbs see our guide to planting bulbs and view our informative video.
(Snakes Head Fritillary)The nodding bell shaped flowers of Fritillaria meleagris are unmistakeable for their snake skin markings. This British wild flower bulb is now protected and rarely seen in its native meadows, but will always attract attention in a woodland garden, rockery, or naturalised in grass. Height: 30cm (15") high. Bulb size 5/6cm. From cultivated stock.
