Plant Anemone blanda tubers in autumn. Prior to planting, soak the tubers overnight in cold water as this will help to speed their establishment. Choose a well drained soil in a sunny or semi shaded position. Ideally this should be a site which will be left undisturbed so that they can spread to form a thick carpet. Plant at a depth of 5 - 8cm below ground level.
Anemone blanda requires a dry dormant period in summer. Reduce watering when the foliage begins to die back after flowering in early summer. During their summer dormancy it may not be obvious where the bulbs are planted - take care not to disturb them when tending to other later flowering perennials. In autumn apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost.
