Begonia 'Fragrant Cascading'

Plant begonias in small pots or trays of moist compost from February to March. Grow on in a warm, frost free position. Transplant into final containers and hanging baskets when plants are well grown.

When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise containers of begonias to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period. Choose a sunny or semi shaded site for their final position. Feed and water plants frequently. Deadhead faded begonia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. When stems blacken with first autumn frost, remove tubers from their containers. Wash and dry the tubers then store over winter in peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position. Replant begonia tubers in February or March for another outstanding display!
