Ideal for containers and baskets. Plant begonia tubers in small pots or trays in moist compost from February to March. Grow on in a warm, frost free position and water sparingly. Transplant into final containers when plants are well grown.
When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise begonia plants to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period. Position in sun or semi shade. Protect from strong winds. Feed and water plants frequently. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. When stems blacken with first autumn frost, remove tubers from their containers. Wash and dry them and store over winter in peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position. Replant tubers in Feb/ March for another fantastic display!
We will do our best to ship your plants or bulbs to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product.
