Crocus 'Winter Flowering'

Plant winter flowering crocus bulbs, pointed end facing upwards, from September to November at a depth of about 10cm (4?). Choose a sunny position in well drained soil or plant them in containers and window boxes. When growing crocus on heavy wet soils, add sharp sand or compost to improve drainage. For natural looking drifts of crocus flowers, gently cast them across the planting area and plant them exactly where they land!

Feed and water container grown crocus regularly during their active growth period. Allow the strap like foliage to die back naturally after flowering. Avoid mowing areas of grass where crocus are naturalised until foliage has completely died back.
