Summer flowering bulbs should be planted in spring, with the pointed end facing upwards, at a depth of approximately 3 times their height. When planting summer flowering bulbs choose a sunny position in moist, free draining soil.
Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering before removing it. This will help to feed the bulb and ensure another cheery display next spring. Lift bulbs in autumn when the foliage has died back. Carefully clean and label them before storing in a dry, frost free place. Summer bulbs can be replanted in spring for another fantastic display.

Having cleared 80+ mum's shed I wanted something to fill the space really quick. These started to show within a fortnight and have rekindled mum's excitement with gardening. She goes out first thing everyday to see what's come out now and has even got her garden chairs out again. Five+ months of daily pleasure...now what do you have for winter and spring?
