Amaranthus are set to be the next big thing in gardens and patios across the UK. They’re fun, easy to grow and certainly eye-catching with bizarre ‘fluffy’ flowers and bright foliage! Available in a bewildering range of different colours, shapes and sizes. Here’s five we’ve selected for a really ‘fun’ collection: 'Autumn Palette' with its earthy shaded plumes, 'Fat Spike' giving colour and interest, 'Joseph's Coat' for an amazing tricoloured foliage, 'Molten Fire' giving heat and drama and 'Pony Tails Mixed' with its delicate swaying tassels. Height: 120cm (47"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Grow Amaranthus plants in full sun, planted in humus rich, moist but well drained soil.

Keep plants regularly watered during the flowering season to help prolong the blooming period.
