Pot up begonias plugs into 9cm pots of moist compost from February to March. Grow on in a warm, frost free position.
When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise begonias to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period. Transplant begonias into containers or beds and borders, in any well drained soil. Choose a sunny or semi shaded site for their final position. Feed and water plants frequently. Deadhead faded begonia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.

  1. Disappointing

    By Jean Kitchen 18-07-2012

These were not delivered until end May - far too late. We were led to believe they would arrive end April. They have been grown on for 5 weeks and still not much bigger than when we received them. Totally disappointed. Would not order them again.
Van Meuwen says: because the weather and temparatures have been so poor so far this summer, many plants are several weeks behind where they would normally be. They should improve now warmer weather has arrived.
