Begonia - Peach Melba (Trailing)
A gem of a plant with double flowers in hues of orange and peach set above lush foliage. Stunning in hanging baskets and containers where they will bloom from pendulous stems all summer until the first frosts. Height and spread: 45cm (18"). Standard tuber size 3/4cm.
Plant begonias in small pots or trays in moist compost from February to March. Grow on in a warm, frost free position. Transplant into final containers and hanging baskets when plants are well grown
When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise begonias to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period. Choose a sunny or semi shaded site for their final position. Feed and water plants frequently. Deadhead faded begonia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. When stems blacken with first autumn frost, remove tubers from their containers. Wash and dry the tubers then store over winter in peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position. Replant begonia tubers in February or March for another outstanding display!
