Fuchsia - Lady Boothby - Climbing
Reaching new heights - Lady Boothby is the world's only climbing Fuchsia! From July to September this hardy shrub bears a multitude of pendulous magenta and deep purple flowers on tall red stems. Provide some support and it will quickly cover walls, frames and trellis. Height: 3m (10'). Supplied as 30mm plugs.
Pot up plugs and grow them on in warm frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside in their final positions. Fuchsia Lady Boothby can be planted in containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil. Position in a sunny or semi shaded site which is protected from cold winds over winter.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Prune out the oldest stems in spring when the fresh buds begin to break, and reduce the remaining stems to restrict their vigorous growth to the available space.
