Jasmine 'Clotted Cream'

Jasminum officinale

Hardy Shrub

  • Elegant, scented flowers
  • Deciduous climber
Elegant flowers like delicate, scented cream stars adorn this deciduous climber in summer. Its twining stems just love to climb and will quickly cover fences, trellis or tree stumps. We recommend growing jasmine in sunny borders or containers near doors and windows to fully appreciate its wonderful fragrance. Height: 180cm (6'). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up plugs into 9cm pots and grow them on in warm frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside in their final positions in spring or autumn. Jasmine Clotted Cream can be planted in containers or borders in any moist, well drained soil and will even tolerate dry conditions. Position in a sunny site that is protected from cold winds in winter. Be sure to provide the twining stems with an appropriate support such as trellis or wires attached to fences and pergolas.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Prune out the oldest stems, and reduce the remaining stems to restrict their vigorous growth to the available space in autumn.
We will do our best to ship your plants or bulbs to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product. We recommend that you prepare your soil, planting beds or patio containers ahead of time so you are ready to plant out, or pot on, just as soon as your order arrives. You will find the name of the variety printed on the top line of the address label on your package. Please ensure that you open the packaging immediately and carefully read through the instruction leaflet provided. For greatest success, please pot on or plant out as soon as possible, following the cultural instructions enclosed with your order.
