Single, cup-shaped, white blooms with a pretty burgundy-pink pattern bring a welcome splash of colour to winter gardens. The graceful flowers of Hellebore 'Pink Spotted' are borne above bushy clumps of evergreen leathery foliage, providing year-round interest. Hardy and low maintenance, these perennial plants are fabulous for a shady border or woodland garden. Hellebores will even thrive in containers on the patio. Height and spread: 30cm (12"). Supplied in 7cm pots.

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Pot up hellebore plants and grow them on in warm frost free conditions for transplanting into borders and containers later on. When all risk of frost has passed and plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Grow hellebores in a dappled or semi shade position in fertile, moist, well drained soil. Hellebore plants prefer neutral or alkaline soil. Add well rotted garden manure or other organic matter to improve very heavy clay or free-draining sandy soils.

Water hellebores regularly until established. Cut back old foliage in spring and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plants. Try not to disturb hellebore plants after planting as they may take some time to re-establish. If necessary, move plants in the autumn.
