Suppress your weeds with a densely planted carpet of vibrant African Daisies. Osteospermum 'Snow Pixie' is one of the easiest ground cover plants you can grow and it's hardy too, so you can enjoy it year after year. Once established this versatile, resilient perennial is happy in hot, dry, neglected conditions, and it is particularly useful for tricky coastal sites. Famed for their long flowering period, Osteospermums bloom from June right through to October. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 60cm (24"). Supplied in 50mm plugs.

Pot up Osteospermum plug plants into 11cm pots and grow them on in warm frost free conditions for transplanting into borders, beds and containers later on.

When all risk of frost has passed, and plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant Osteospermum in any well drained soil in full sun. In particularly cold areas, African Daises are best grown in a sheltered position. Feed and water regularly. Deadhead faded African Daisy flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Weed between plants until they are established.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
