Asclepias syriaca 'Green Parrot'

(Common Milkweed, Virginian Silk, Silkweed)

A fantastic perennial for the garden, with spherical heads of lightly-fragrant, mauve-pink blooms in summer, which are highly attractive to bees and butterflies. The flowers are followed by fascinating, softly spiny seed pods which give rise to the name ‘Green Parrot’! Also known as ‘Virginian Silk’, in the autumn the large seed pods split open to reveal seeds adorned with masses of silky white hairs. Asclepias syriaca is a fantastic, easy-to-grow plant for borders and wildlife gardens where it gives a long season of interest. The bright blooms also make an unusual and striking cut flower. Rose 'Blue Moon'

Rosa (Rose 'Tannacht', Rose 'Mainzer Fastnacht')

Long pointed buds open to reveal the exquisitely fragranced lilac blue blooms of this popular hyrbrid tea rose. This variety will repeat flower and is superb for cutting. Height 100cm (40"). Spread 70cm (28"). Bareroot plant supplied.

The large, bright yellow, young flowers of Echinacea Maui Sunshine gradually mature to a soft shade of golden yellow with prominent, orange cones. This new and unusual variety of coneflower bears its delicately scented blooms on sturdy, well branched stems. Echinacea are famed for their long lasting, weather resistant blooms and ornate autumn seedheads that are superb for fresh and dried flower arrangements.
