Giant Fragrant Cowslip

Primula florindae (Tibetan Cowslip)

It's rather like an allium or a yellow agapanthus with its tall umbels of banana yellow blooms, this giant variety of cowslip makes a bright display, especially in shadier, damp areas of the garden, from July to September.
