Buddleja ‘Foot Long' (Buddleia, Butterfly Bush) The days of Buddlejas taking over your garden are long gone, this new less invasive variety grows to just 3ft (1m.) and displays incredibly long lavender-blue blooms, some reaching more than a foot long, hence the name. Hydrangea macrophylla 'Avantgarde' Enormous blooms, of up to 30cm diameter, cover this amazing new Hydrangea from August to October. The flower heads grow larger as the weeks pass, whilst the petals change colour from cream to deep pink, and finally light green. As with all Hydrangea macrophylla varieties, an acidic soil will result in blue flowers instead of pink.
