A world first, these decorative Begonia plants are hardy to 3°C (38°F), and in mild areas can be grown outdoors all year round! The large, palmate foliage of Begonia 'Garden Angels' is deeply veined, with a metallic sheen of purple or silver, adding an exotic feel to any garden. In late summer, small bright pink flowers appear as an added bonus. Reaching up to 60cm (24") tall, these unique Begonias will make a dramatic statement in beds, tropical-themed borders and patio containers. Given winter protection Begonia 'Garden Angels' will naturally die back in the winter, resuming growth in the spring. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 45cm (18"). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up Begonia plug plants and grow them on in frost free conditions. If plants are received in the autumn, over-winter them in a cool, frost-free position. When all risk of frost has passed in late spring, and plants are fully rooted into their pots, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Transplant Begonia 'Garden Angels' into sheltered borders in fertile, well drained soil, choosing a position in sun or semi shade. Alternatively grow Begonias in containers which can be moved to a frost-free position over winter.

Feed and water Begonia plants frequently throughout the growing season. When stems blacken with the first autumn frost, move container-grown Begonias to a cool, frost-free position. Begonias planted in the ground can be left in place in mild areas, provided they are protected with a layer of horticultural fleece throughout winter.
