The tubular, lipped purple flowers are particularly attractive to bees and other insects, making this semi evergreen plant ideal ground cover for wildlife and woodland gardens. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 90cm (36"). Supplied as 5cm plug plants.

Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into borders. Grow Prunella plants in full sun or semi shade. Prunella will grow in almost any soil and are particularly effective as groundcover.Water plants until they are fully established. Prunella can be invasive. Deadhead faded flower spikes to prevent self seeding. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in spring. Lift and divide clumps of Prunella every 3 years in autumn to maintain their vigorous, healthy growth.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
