Groundcover Plants

Geranium 'Rozanne'Commonly known as Cranesbill. Followers of the 2013 RHS Chelsea Flower Show will know that this plant was recently awarded 1st place in their ‘Plant of the Centenary’. Geranium 'Rozanne' produces an abundance of lilac blue flowers. These hardy perennial plants make excellent ground cover and help create beautiful cottage garden style planting schemes. Flowering right through the summer, if the plant starts to look a little tired simply cut right back and it will come back with new growth and another flush of flowers. Cranesbill make a lovely companion plant for roses and are superb for edging the front of informal borders or even gently cascading from patio containers. Their bright autumn foliage extends their season of interest. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 60cm (24"). Supplied as plug plants. More info |
Hosta 'White Feather'(Plantain Lily) A very unusual variety! Emerging leaves appear almost totally white, slowly developing green streaks until the whole leaf turns green. Spikes of lavender flowers tower over the lush foliage from mid summer. Unlike other varieties, White Feather tolerates a sunny position making an attractive border or container plant. Also excellent as ground cover in woodland gardens or on the outskirts of ponds and boggy areas. Height and spread: 45cm (18"). Supplied as size one bareroot plants. More info |
