Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into borders and patio containers. Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in a moist, well drained soil, adding compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.
Feed, water and weed between plants regularly until they are fully established. Apply mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in autumn or spring. Lift and divide clumps of Heuchera every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
We will do our best to ship your plants or bulbs to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product. We recommend that you prepare your soil, planting beds or patio containers ahead of time so you are ready to plant out, or pot on, just as soon as your order arrives. You will find the name of the variety printed on the top line of the address label on your package. Please ensure that you open the packaging immediately and carefully read through the instruction leaflet provided. For greatest success, please pot on or plant out as soon as possible, following the cultural instructions enclosed with your order.

  1. WOW ! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COLLECTION OF PLANTS !

    By John Coyle 14-10-2011

All plants dispatched from Van Meuwan come with instructions on how to bring them on : Transfer them to larger pots, and grow them on before transferring them This collection (my 2nd purchase) gives you a fine selection of four of this species, this allows you to see their spectacular foliage: The collection is great value at £11.98 for four Heuchera Perenials, and are now well established in pot, on my patio !
