Heuchera 'Crème Brulee'

Coral Flower

Hardy Perennial

Mounds of vibrant foliage in glowing shades of caramel, bronze and gold. This semi evergreen perennial is outstanding when grown in containers, at the front of borders, or planted as ground cover in bold drifts. The dainty sprays of delicate white flowers are also particularly attractive to bees. Height: 45cm (18") Spread: 40cm (16"). Supplied as 45mm plug plants.

Culinary information: The leaves can be tossed in with other greens for a mixed salad, typically too bitter to eat on their own, they will add a tangy kick to an otherwise bland salad. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into borders and patio containers. Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in a moist, well drained soil, adding compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.
Feed, water and weed between plants regularly until they are fully established. Apply mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in autumn or spring. Lift and divide clumps of Heuchera every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
We will do our best to ship your plants or bulbs to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product.
