Hardy Perennial

Intense shades of lime green foliage that contrasts beautifully with the darker coloured varieties of Heuchera. A spectacular semi evergreen perennial for containers and borders, or planted in drifts as ground cover. It also produces sprays of dainty flowers on tall wiry stems which are particularly attractive to bees. Height: 45cm (18") Spread: 40cm (16"). Supplied as 45mm plug plants.

Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into borders and patio containers. Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in a moist, well drained soil, adding compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.
Feed, water and weed between plants regularly until they are fully established. Apply mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in autumn or spring. Lift and divide clumps of Heuchera every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
