Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots. Grow them on in warm frost free conditions for transplanting into borders and containers later on.
When all risk of frost has passed, and plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant pinks in any well drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Feed and water regularly. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Weed between plants until they are established. These hardy perennials will fragrance your garden year after year.
