The colourful flowers of these cheery primulas are a sure sign that spring has arrived! The deep green leaves of this hardy perennial are particularly attractive on a frosty morning when their foliage turns to shades of icy blue. A must for spring borders and containers, where these robust little perennials will bloom year after year. Height: 20cm (8"). Supplied as plug tray plants.

Culinary information: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the sweet tasting petals on top of salads or even pancakes, crystallise them for use as cake decorations too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Pot up plugs into 9cm pots and grow them on in cool conditions for transplanting later on. When primula plants are well grown acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to planting them in their final positions. Plant primula in containers or borders in any moist well drained soil. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade.
Feed and water plants regularly.Deadhead faded primula flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.In autumn, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of border grown plants.

    I ordered these but on delivery found they had been replaced with another plant pack. It was not a problem as the plants I recieved are good healthy plants and will be just as good in my garden .
