Plant globeflowers in a sunny or semi-shaded position. Trollius prefers a heavy, fertile soil that doesn?t dry out in summer, and thrives in the moist or boggy soil next to ponds and streams.
Water globeflowers when necessary to prevent the soil from drying out. Cut the stems back hard when the first trollius flowers fade, to promote lots of fresh growth and another flush of vibrant flowers. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps immediately after flowering.
