Scardy Cat Plant

Coleus canina

Discourage feline intruders with the scented foliage of Coleus canina - Cats and Dogs hate the smell! Luckily it is not offensive to humans. The neat grey green leaves and small pale blue flowers make this an attractive addition to borders too. At its most effective when grown in full sun, the scardy cat plant (as it is also known) is undemanding and surprisingly drought tolerant. Height: 45cm (18"). Supplied as 40mm plug plants. More info

Anthemis tinctoria 'E.C. Buxton'

(Golden Marguerite, Ox-Eye Chamomile)

This cultivar of golden marguerite bears masses of sunny lemon coloured daisy flowers on branching stems that literally smother the plant. The aromatic leaves form mounds of finely dissected foliage which are particularly attractive at the front of sunny borders. A delightful, though short lived, perennial that also makes a charming cut flower for vases indoors. Height and spread: 60cm (24"). Supplied as 40mm plug plant. More info

Gaillardia 'Fanfare'

(Blanket flower)

Unique orange trumpet-shaped petals radiate from the pincushion centres, before fading to yellow in a blaze of summer colour. The sheer flower power and compact habit of this remarkable and unusual variety make Gaillardia ‘Fanfare’ a ‘must have’ for containers or filling gaps at the front of sunny borders. The distinctive blooms persist well into autumn, and make spectacular cut flowers for an indoor display. This low maintenance, hardy perennial is trouble-free and even copes well on poor, dry soils.
