Acacia dealbata

(Mimosa, Silver Wattle)

Evergreen fern-like foliage makes an attractive foil for clusters of bright yellow, fluffy ball shaped mimosa flowers. Its fragrant, nectar rich blooms are a big attraction for bees and other insects in spring. This half hardy evergreen makes an ideal specimen plant for containers, or sheltered sunny borders. An excellent focal point for a large conservatory. Height if unrestricted: 15m (49') Spread if unrestricted: 6m (19'). Supplied in 9cm pots or as 40mm plug plants.

Lavender 'Munstead'

Lavendula angustifolia (English lavender)

A cottage garden classic! Brush past its evergreen foliage to release the intense perfume of this compact lavender. Its delicate purple blue flowers held on stiff stems, attract bees and other insects; they also make excellent cut or dried flowers. Grow Lavender Munstead in containers, as a low hedge, or to soften paths and patio edges. Just be sure to plant it where you can savour its beguiling fragrance! Height: 45cm (18"). Supplied as plug tray plants.

Sedum 'Abbey Dore'

(Stonecrop, Ice Plant, Sedum telephium 'Abbeydore')

An unusual ice plant with a vigorous, compact habit. Sedum ‘Abbey Dore’ has attractive blue-green and later develops pink stems in late summer. The pretty pink buds open to reveal pale-pink and cerise flowers that are a magnet for pollinating insects. Ice plants are perfect for adding late summer colour to the front of hot, sunny borders.
