3 x 7cm Potted Plants (V57319)

Repot peach and nectarine trees into patio containers in a well drained, soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Transplant them at the same soil level as they were in their original pots and firm in well. Water thoroughly and position in a sheltered site in full sun. A south facing position is ideal to reduce the risk of frost damage to the flowers as this will affect the fruit crop later on. If a severe frost threatens, container grown peaches can be temporarily moved to a frost free position in a cool conservatory or greenhouse.
Feed and water patio peach and nectarine trees regularly throughout the summer. As fruits begin to develop, pinch some out, to produce the best quality, largest peaches and nectarines. Aim to leave one fruit every 20cm (8") along each branch. Pruning peach and nectarine trees can be kept to a minimum. They require only light pruning in late spring to keep their shape. Peaches and nectarines can be harvested from July when the fruits have ripened. The flesh of a ripe peach or nectarine will feel slightly soft when gently pressed with your thumb. As nectarine and peach trees increase in size they will require transplanting into increasingly larger pots up to 60cm (2') diameter.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
