Sweetcorn 'Swift' F1 Hybrid (Seeds)

• Sow seed, 4cm (11/2in) deep in 7.5cm (3in) pots of free-draining compost. Place in a propagator or seal containers insidea polythene bag and keep at 18-20°C (64-68F) until after germination, which takes 7-10 days. Do not exclude daylight as this helps germination.
• Can also be sown outdoors once the soil has warmed, in a sunny position. Do not sow into cold soil. Sow 2 seeds, 5cm (2in) deep, every 15cm (6in) apart, in rows 45cm (18in) apart. Thin-out to the strongest seedling when well grown.
• Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 7-10 days before planting out after all risk of frost. Keep well watered, feed and mulch during dry periods.
• Harvest during September and October.
