Repot duo fruit trees into in a well drained, soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Repot trees at the same soil level as they were in their original pots and firm them into their new containers. Water well and position in full sun.
Feed and water duo fruit trees regularly throughout the summer. Remove some of the fruit in the first year to allow the tree to focus some of its energy towards growing strong stems as well as fruit. Duo fruit trees require only light pruning in Spring to keep their shape. If flower buds are obvious, try not to prune them away as these will form the fruit crop later in the year. As plants increase in size they will require repotting into increasingly larger pots up to 60cm (2') diameter.
We will do our best to ship your plants or bulbs to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product. We recommend that you prepare your soil, planting beds or patio containers ahead of time so you are ready to plant out, or pot on, just as soon as your order arrives. You will find the name of the variety printed on the top line of the address label on your package. Please ensure that you open the packaging immediately and carefully read through the instruction leaflet provided. For greatest success, please pot on or plant out as soon as possible, following the cultural instructions enclosed with your order.

  1. Fruit Tree Duo Collection

    By Katy Hewett 09-02-2012

I have had my van meuwen duo's for four year now, they all grew very well in my tiny garden, in the second year I had fruit from all tree's and both variety's have grown even crops. I have kept them well trimmed and they have stayed nice and compact. All the fruit had been juicy and delicious and I had so many plums this year I also made Jam. Worth every penny.

Fantastic deal. Had loads of leaves this year and can't wait until they fruit. Friends are amazed when I tell them one tree grows two different fruits, great talking point sat on the patio with friends.
