How to Grow
Begonia - Fringed
Plant begonias in small pots or trays in moist compost from February to March.
Grow on in a warm, frost free position.
Aftercare
When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise begonias to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period.
Transplant begonias into containers or beds and borders, in any well drained soil. Choose a sunny or semi shaded site for their final position.
Feed and water plants frequently.
Deadhead faded begonia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.
When stems blacken with first autumn frost, remove tubers from their beds and containers. Wash and dry the tubers then store over winter in peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position.
Replant begonia tubers in February or March for another outstanding display!
