How to Grow
Petunia - Surfinia - Climbing
- Pot up plugs into 9cm pots and grow on in warm frost free conditions for planting into their final positions at a later date.
- Pinch back the stems while the plants are still young to encourage them to produce bushier growth and more flowers.
- When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise petunias to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days and transplant them into their final positions in containers or borders.
- Choose a sunny site for their final position.
- Aftercare.
- Feed and water plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods.
- As the long stems increase in length, gently tie them into their supports with soft twine to train them upwards.
- Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced and extend their vibrant display.
