Prolific flowering and a trailing habit make Petunia Fireworks ideal for hanging baskets and patio containers. The constellation of star-shaped blooms in shades of light pink through to deep violet burst open, to form a spectacle of colour all summer long. Height and spread: 60cm (24”). Supplied as 30mm plugs.
How to Grow
Petunia - Fireworks
- Pot up plugs into 9cm pots and grow on for transplanting into final containers or baskets later on.
- Grow petunia plants on in warm frost free conditions.
- Pinch back the stems while the plants are still young to encourage them to produce bushier growth and more flowers.
- When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise petunias to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days.
- Choose a sunny site for their final position.
- Aftercare.
- Feed and water plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods.
- Deadhead faded petunia flowers flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced and extend their vibrant display.
