A much hardier variety which can produce fragrant large mauve and violet flowers. Remains evergreen all the year round. Best planted against a warm south facing wall, where they will soon climb to 3m (10 feet), or in a container on the patio. Laden with flowers all Summer long. During the Winter they need frost protection.
