This wonderful collection of evergreen shrubs will certainly perk up your garden throughout the winter months! Providing permanent structure all year round, and a colourful show of spring flowers, these easy, low-maintenance shrubs are an essential addition to borders and patio containers. Supplied in 9cm pots.


  • Collection comprises 1 plant each of:
  • Choisya ternata 'Sundance®' - an RHS AGM variety with glossy, evergreen, bright yellow leaves, above which fragrant white flowers are borne in late spring, and again in late summer and autumn. Height and spread: 2.5m (8').
  • Euonymus fortunei 'Emerald Gaiety' - an RHS AGM variety with leathery green leaves, with white margins. Forming a dense compact shrub, it can even be trained to climb a wall or fence. Height: 1m (3'). Spread: 1.5m (5').
  • Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' - an RHS AGM variety with glossy evergreen leaves and dense clusters of red buds in autumn and winter. Buds open in spring to reveal white, highly fragrant flowers. Height and spread: 80cm (31").
  • Hypericum 'Orange Flair' - bears sunny yellow, star shaped flowers from June to August, atop elegant, upright branches, followed by orange-red fruit in autumn. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 90cm (35").
  • Ceanothus thyrsiflorus var. repens - an RHS AGM variety producing a profusion of fluffy, lilac-blue flowers in late spring and early summer on low, spreading growth. Excellent for groundcover. Height: 1m (3'). Spread: 2.5m (8').
  • Euonymus fortunei 'Blonde Beauty' - leathery creamy-yellow leaves with green margins, forming a dense compact shrub. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 100cm (39").

Magnolia 'Sunrise'

This magnificent deciduous shrub has superb, goblet-shaped, white flowers with a distinctive red flame. This hardy compact Magnolia makes an ideal focal point in smaller gardens and woodland planting schemes. A superb specimen shrub! Supplied as a bareroot plant. Height and spread: 1.8m (6').

Magnolia (Standard)

Large goblet shaped flowers unfurl their delicate petals in spring. Grown as a standard, this beautiful deciduous Magnolia is compact enough for a pot on the patio, or as a focal point in narrow borders. Ultimate height: 150-200cm (60-80"). Camellia 'Tricolour'

Camellias are hugely popular low-maintenance shrubs which provide beautiful blooms from early spring, set against a backdrop of glossy evergreen foliage. Camellia 'Tricolour' is a unique shrub that produces three different flower colours on one plant - red, pink and white! The evergreen leaves of this slow-growing shrub make a good foil for summer flowering perennials when planted at the back of a border, and the flowers can be cut for a vase indoors. Heptacodium miconioides

(Seven Son Flower Tree)

Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit, this beautiful large deciduous shrub, or small tree, is native to central China and rarely seen in gardens. Heptacodium miconioides produces dense clusters of small white flowers with a delicious jasmine fragrance from late summer through until autumn. The flowers are highly attractive to bees and butterflies. After the flowers fade the sepals persist, aging to deep pink and extending the colourful display into late autumn. Cistus x purpureus

(Purple-flowered Rock Rose, Orchid Rock Rose)

Holding an RHS Award of Garden Merit, the showy pink flowers of this evergreen shrub have delightfully delicate petals, resembling crushed silk upon opening. Cistus purpureus produces an abundance of blooms in early summer, each one lasting only a day, creating a carpet of petals beneath the rounded, compact growth. Thanks to its Mediterranean origins, Purple-flowered rock rose has fantastic drought tolerance and is perfect for a low-maintenance garden, grown in sunny borders or large patio containers. Indigofera heterantha (Indigofera gerardiana)

Dense racemes of pink-purple, pea-like flowers are borne non-stop from early summer right through until early autumn.
