Heptacodium miconioides(Seven Son Flower Tree) Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit, this beautiful large deciduous shrub, or small tree, is native to central China and rarely seen in gardens. Heptacodium miconioides produces dense clusters of small white flowers with a delicious jasmine fragrance from late summer through until autumn. The flowers are highly attractive to bees and butterflies. After the flowers fade the sepals persist, aging to deep pink and extending the colourful display into late autumn.
