This hardy perennial produces masses of blooms up to 12cm (5") across on spreading stems over a particularly long period. Low maintenance and tolerant of poor dry soils, the Evening Primrose is ideal for sunny border and rock gardens. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 50cm (20"). Supplied in 5cm pots.

Repot plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plants are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into borders and alpine gardens. Evening Primrose plants dislike wet soils in winter. Plant them in a well drained site, on free draining or even poor stony soil, in full sun.Feed and water plants regularly until they are fully established. Once established, they will only require watering in the hottest of summers. Cut back faded flower stems and apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in spring.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
