An excellent mix of bi-colour flowers, even in the depths of winter! Viola Sorbet surpasses other cultivars for its hardiness and sheer flower power, producing an abundance of colourful individually painted blooms above mounds of dark green foliage. Perfect for patio containers, flower pouches™ beds and borders. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 20cm (8").

Garden Ready Plants - If you’ve fallen behind with your planting or if greenhouse space is limited, we can help you catch up with our garden-ready plug plants. These sturdy plants are larger than other plugs so they can be planted straight out in the garden provided that there are no forecasts of frost. Perfect for filling containers, baskets and borders without the need for growing on.

Culinary information: Some parts of these flowers are edible. The crystallised petals are great decorations for cakes and cookies, or they can be added straight to green salads for an injection of colour. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant plugs directly into flower pouches& trade; or grow them on for transplanting into window boxes, containers and borders later on. Grow on in a cool frost free position. When fully rooted into their pots, gradually acclimatise viola plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to planting them in their final positions. Grow viola plants in sun or semi shade in well drained, rich, fertile soil.
Feed and water container grown plants regularly. Deadhead faded violet flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced and prevent them from self seeding.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.
