A wonderful architectural plant for a herbaceous border, Achillea filipendula 'Coronation Gold' has large, flat heads of golden yellow flowers on tall, slender stems. The grey-green feathery foliage is an added bonus, complimenting the flowers which are produced over long periods throughout the summer. Attractive to bees and excellent as cut flowers, this hardy herbaceous perennial is a valuable addition to beds and borders, and has even been awarded an RHS AGM. Height: 1m (39"). Spread: 50cm (20").

2 achillea plants in 1 litre pots (V59521P)
1 x 1 litre potted achillea plant (58286)

Grow Achillea in any moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Achillea dislikes soils that sit wet over winter.
Stake the stems in late spring for support. Cut back the first flush of Achillea flowers to encourage a second flush in late summer. Thereafter, faded Achillea flower stems can be left intact until winter to add interest to autumn borders. Yarrow plants are relatively short lived perennials that will benefit from regular division every 2 or 3 years to maintain their vigour. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps in spring.
