It’s easy to see why alliums are loved by gardeners! Their upright stems and spherical flower heads create architectural silhouettes in late spring and summer borders. This superb collection brings together an impressive range of varieties that will bridge the gap between spring bulbs fading and summer perennials bursting into bloom. Whether you plant them in borders or containers, they are best grown in dense groups for the most effective display. These low maintenance alliums thrive in a sunny spot on free draining soils.

Allium 100 Cottage Garden Collection comprises:

  • Allium ‘Purple Sensation’ - Globes of starry purple flowers that measure up to 8cm (3”) across. Height: 90cm (36”). Spread: 10cm (4”). (3 bulbs)
  • Allium moly - A vigorous little allium with golden yellow flowers that is ideal for naturalising in informal planting schemes. Height: 15cm (6") Spread: 5cm (2"). (35 bulbs)
  • Allium 'Mount Everest' - Globes of more than 50 star-shaped blooms during June. Height: 1.2m (3.9’). Spread: 15cm (6”). (3 bulbs)

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Allium bulbs should be planted in autumn, with the pointed end facing upwards, at a depth of approximately 3 times their height. Choose a sunny position in free draining soil.
Alliums thrive in dry sunny conditions so feeding and watering should not be necessary except on the driest of soils. Alliums will not repeat flower in the same year. Their faded spherical flower heads can be removed after flowering if necessary; however they will make a wonderful architectural display in the autumn if left intact.
