Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
A fantastic collection of popular allium varieties with spherical architectural flower heads in May and June perched on stiffly upright stems. As the flowers fade, attractive seed heads remain which become straw coloured as the season progresses, persisting throughout autumn. Dot them among herbaceous perennials, at the front of borders or in patio containers where they will attract bees and other pollinating insects. Supplied as bulbs.

Collection comprises:
  • Allium moly (30 bulbs size 4/5)
  • Allium sphaerocephalon (25 bulbs size 4/5)
  • Allium ostrowskianum (30 bulbs size 4/5)
  • Allium 'Purple Sensation' (10 bulbs size 9/10)
  • Allium 'Mount Everest' (5 bulbs size 9/10)

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Allium bulbs should be planted in autumn, with the pointed end facing upwards, at a depth of approximately 3 times their height. Choose a sunny position in free draining soil.
Alliums thrive in dry sunny conditions so feeding and watering should not be necessary except on the driest of soils. Alliums will not repeat flower in the same year. Their faded spherical flower heads can be removed after flowering if necessary; however they will make a wonderful architectural display in the autumn if left intact.
