Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
The flowers of alstroemeria are bold and colourful, but delicate too, with fine, dark markings inside each trumpet-shaped bloom. The plants chosen for this Alstroemeria ‘Climber Collection’ are so vigorous that they reach a great height, growing back year after year and producing a riot of colour in blue, pink and yellow from mid-summer onwards. Grow them in the border with a little support to help them climb. Or plant in patio containers such as a Tower Pot with a lattice frame. Either way, the long-stemmed blooms make lovely cut flowers in a vase or a bouquet. Height: 140cm (55"). Spread: 75cm (30").

Flowering Months
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. When picking alstroemeria pluck the flowers rather than cutting as plucking stimulates the rhizome encourage further growth. In autumn, remove old foliage and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant. Lift and divide clumps of Peruvian Lily in autumn every third year to maintain their vigour.
Caution: irritant to skin and eyes. Pot up Alstroemeria plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, plant Peruvian Lilies in a sunny or semi shaded position in fertile, moist, well drained soil. Alternatively, plant Alstroemeria in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.
