Zantedeschia are better know as Arum or Calla Lilies, but whatever you call them, there’s no denying their glamour! The elegant flower spathes rise above glossy, dark foliage; each leaf flecked with splashes of silver. Arum ‘Gold Label’ is enticingly exotic with sunny-yellow blooms in summer. This half-hardy variety will brighten the patio or conservatory in summer and makes a sensational cut flower.

Calla Lilies require a warm home for the winter months to protect them from the cold. Bring pots of Arum into a heated conservatory or greenhouse, or lift and store the rhizomes for planting in the following spring.

1 x 12cm potted plant (kb9012)

Half hardy Arum lilies are sensitive to temperatures and prefer to be kept in a cooler room at between 12C (55F) and 18C (65F). They are best positioned in a brightly lit spot, but not in the full glare of the sun – an east or west facing window is ideal.
Water regularly throughout the growing season, allowing the pot to drain well after each watering. Ensure that the soil is kept reliably moist. Avoid leaving Arum in standing water as this may cause it to rot. Feed Arums every 2 weeks until the flowers have faded. In winter, move Arum Lilies to a bright warm greenhouse, conservatory or windowsill at a minimum temperature of 12C (55F). Reduce watering to keep the compost barely moist until new shoots appear in spring.
