Aster novi-belgii has a tough constitution and will grow anywhere, even coping with heavy clay soils. For minimal effort it will reward you with masses of daisy-like flowers in shades of pink, purple and white. Attractive to pollinating insects. Height: 90cm (36in). Spread: 60cm (24in).

Plant Michaelmas Daisy plants into fertile, moist, well drained soil, and situate them in full sun or semi shade. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting. This relatively tall variety will benefit from staking to support its tall stems.Feed and water frequently throughout the summer to ensure an endless supply of flowers. Deadhead faded aster flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above.
