Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
A delightful strong-growing shrub becoming smothered in bright orange blooms in late spring, and flowering sporadically throughout the summer. Spiny evergreen leaves adorn the elegant arching shoots, making Berberis 'Apricot Queen' a particularly valuable shrub in the winter garden. The flowers, which are an excellent source of nectar for bees, are followed by subtle purple berries in the autumn. This low maintenance shrub has an RHS AGM and makes a fantastic specimen plant, or grow it as part of a mixed border. Height and spread: 2.5m (8'). Supplied as bare root.

Flowering Months
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young berberis plants become established. Evergreen barberry bushes require only occasional pruning to tidy damaged or misplaced stems. This should be carried out after flowering. When pruning evergreen berberis plants, only trim or lightly cut back any shoots that spoil the symmetry of the shrub.
Plant barberry shrubs in borders in any moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Bareroot berberis should be planted at the same depth as they were previously planted. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil. Grow berberis plants in a sunny position for the best fruits and flowers.
