Modern breeding has introduced this sensational bicolour blooming Biden. Bidens 'Taka Tuka® M Red Yellow Center' is an extraordinary variety with bright orange blooms and a splash of gold at the base of each petal. The star shaped flowers are borne in profusion, covering the feathery foliage throughout summer. Traditional varieties tend to become straggly as the growing season progresses, but this modern cultivar stays neat and compact all summer long. Perfect for mixed containers, baskets and window boxes. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 35cm (14").

Grow Bidens in frost free conditions until all risk of frost has passed. Pinch out the growing points while the plants are still small to encourage more stems. Regular pinching will create a shapely compact plant that is perfect for containers. When plants are well grown acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to planting them in their final positions. Grow Bidens plants in containers, hanging baskets and borders in any well drained soil in full sun.

Feed and water bidens plants regularly. Cut back faded flower stems to encourage more flowers to be produced. Although bidens is generally grown as an annual, if containers are moved to a bright frost free position over winter, they be kept for the following year.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
