Sowing Months Harvest Months

1 packet (250 broccoli seeds) (TKA54023)

  • Sow outdoors during late spring/early summer, thinly, in a prepared seedbed, 1cm (1/2in) deep in drills 23cm (9in) apart.
  • Thin-out seedlings when large enough to handle, around 5 weeks after sowing, and transplant to 60cm (24in) apart, each way, and water until established.
  • Harvest from September to October, the whole head does not need to be harvested at once, just snap off the individual heads required.
  • Protect heads against frost with fleece to extend the harvesting season.
  • Broccoli contains many healthy antioxidants such as pro-vitamin A and vitamin C, and is also a good source of iron and folic acid.
